One Step Imaging Tech Corner

The one-step imaging product generates a coversheet containing all necessary profile information for the documents that are to be scanned. The coversheet is placed on top of the stacks of papers to be imaged and is now ready for network scanning by your firm’s scanning department. Once the documents are scanned (along with the coversheet), the document will automatically be saved and profiled to the selected matter and routed to the appropriate parties as well. All in one easy, automated step.

To see a demonstration on this new product, please call our sales department at 1-800-749-6200.

Collaborative Matter Management
PerfectLaw is proud to announce the release of our new Remote Collaborative Matter Management. This product will allow clients to remotely access their case information using the new enhanced PerfectLaw security model without the need of setting up a completely new database or running multiple web servers. Using this new security model within PerfectLaw, you’ll be able to limit access to matter information at a read only level. The client has access to review items such as Matter Notes, Docket Events (matter specific), documents (available as read only), and related party information. The client connects directly through a Citrix or Terminal Server session and then has the ability to access their information through PerfectLaw.

To see a demonstration on this new product, please call our sales department at 1-800-749-6200.

Reports Library

In addition to the extensive standard Reports Library provided with PerfectLaw’s Back Office Report Writer, one of the distinct features of our software is that our report writer creates the report and automatically profiles it into the matter of your choice in various digital formats without the need to export. You can choose to automatically save and profile reports in various spreadsheet programs including Excel and Lotus Notes, as well as word processors and PDF files. You can even setup report sets to include, say, 10 reports that you run at the end of each month with a single mouse click rather than run each individually.

Some of the sample reports included with the Report Writer include:

  • Aged Unbilled Time - This report is a summary of aged unbilled time (fees) and expenses (hard and soft costs).
  • Production Percentages – a monthly report that enables management to see how each client contributes to the firm on a percentage basis during the current period and Year-to-Date.
  • Production to Firm Summary - This monthly report will enable management to show how each client contributes to the firm on a percentage basis during the current period and Year-to-Date.
  • Monthly Attorney Analysis – shows attorney performance during the current period and YTD against budget and will also show the effectiveness of that attorney’s billing
