Front Office Software for Legal Case Management
 

Our Front Office Software Suite of products allows you to pick and choose which options you wish to combine for added functionality. Our Front Office Software is offered in several versions including Lite, Standard, or Enterprise depending upon your firm size and mix of features. AIM® (Attorney’s Information Manager)
AIM®, the Attorney’s Information Manager, is the core of PerfectLaw’s Front Office Software.  It includes Case/Matter Management, Docket/Rules, user and group Calendar/Scheduler, Contact/Relationship Management, and Task Management.  The system provides instant access to the all electronic matter file, which consists of a set of tabs that function together and bring together the different areas of the PerfectLaw® Front Office Suite of products.  These tabs are customizable based on the firm’s needs and areas of practice. 

Data Browser
The PerfectLaw® Data Browser is a powerful search engine that can be used to search for anything within the PerfectLaw® Database including documents, contacts, as well as completed and pending appointments.  The Data Browser allows users to perform both simple and complex searches without the need to write a SQL query.  With the Data Browser, users can also refer to search history and save search filters as well as modify the appearance of the search results.  Since everything is connected within PerfectLaw®, you can even open a client matter file from within the search results table.

Document Management
Document Management Software provides a way for a law firm to manage their documents. Each document profile contains information such as document name, author, document type, version number, and much more. Linked documents can include word processing documents, images, spreadsheets, emails, reports generated by the Report Writer, or bills generated by PerfectLaw® Time and Billing – just about anything.  You can even drag and drop an email directly from Outlook into a matter file.  To open a linked item, just click the open document button and the document opens in its native application.  Information is stored in one central database, allowing any user with the appropriate access the ability to quickly find and retrieve any document. 

Document Assembly/Production
Merge client matter and case information into a document, quickly and easily, with direct interface to Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect.  The PerfectLaw® Document Assembly system can merge client matter and case information into any type of document or letter, quickly and easily, with direct interface to your favorite word processor. Users simply select client and matter, specify the form, then click OK to merge the two together. PerfectLaw® Document Assembly produces complex documents in seconds and stores daily work flow data about client, matters, and events.

Screen Painter
The PerfectLaw® Screen Painter is a tool that allows users to create custom tables to store any data needed and creates the screens to view and edit custom data and more allowing users to customize their own summary screens.  The PerfectLaw® Screen Painter allows advanced firms to create their own custom screens.  The PerfectLaw® Screen Painter is a tool that allows users to create custom tables to store any data needed and creates the screens to view and edit custom data and more.  This way, firms can create one screen to contain information spread throughout different areas of the application.  This is especially useful for users who like to refer to one screen for all summary information. With the Screen Painter, users can pull existing data from the system and display it in any order.  And yes, the fields are reusable and the information displayed is linked to the existing data in the PerfectLaw® system so there is no double entry at all.

Paperless Workflow®
PerfectLaw® Paperless Workflow® allows you to quickly create a cover sheet containing document profile information. Put this cover sheet on top of your stack of papers then have your scanning department scan the stack of documents (with the cover page as the first sheet). Your network scanner then interprets the information on the cover sheet and automatically saves and profiles the document to the matter of your choice and even allows you to route the document and send email notifications thereby enabling a paperless set of processing with profiled documents rather than loose sheets of paper. Yes, it’s that simple.

PLSync
PerfectLaw® PLSync allows synchronization of PerfectLaw® with Microsoft® Outlook® and GroupWise® for Case and Groupware Items such as Contacts, Appointments, and Tasks.  Your data can then be uploaded to your PDA with your PDA sync software. The PerfectLaw® PLSync program is available in three versions: for use with Exchange®, for use with Outlook® or for use with GroupWise®.

Practice Area Templates
PerfectLaw® offers practice area templates of screens, forms, and rules that can be incorporated into AIM® and tailored for each practice area. Some of the available sets include Patent, Trademark, Copyright, Insurance Defense, and Medical Malpractice.  Each of these Practice Area Specific features customizes the appearance of your matter window, screens, rule sets, even the forms that are available for assembly with the Document Assembly module. 

Working with PDFs
The PerfectLaw® Save & Profile to PDF feature provides the option to profile a PDF document when saving and profiling.  Users also have an Adobe® Acrobat® Plug-in available to save and profile PDFs from within Acobrat.

Records Management System
The PerfectLaw® Records Management System (RMS) uses barcode scanning and database tools to track the physical location of every folder, who has it checked-out, and who changed the database.  In effect, it controls the distribution of all physical file folders, drawers and boxes of documents and associated attachments.

CompDocs
CompDocs helps your firm minimize the professional time required to create and revise documents. CompDocs does this effectively by creating, saving, profiling and tracking redline documents instantly and effortlessly. The CompDocs feature allows you to quickly generate a red-lined PDF or Word file comparing two currently profiled documents then saves and profiles the red-lined document. It even strips the meta data so you don’t have to worry about others having access to document data they shouldn’t see.
