Back Office Software for Legal Financial Management

Our Back Office Software Suite of products allows you to pick and choose which features you wish to combine for added functionality. Take a look at each of the features offered, then give us a call. We can help you configure a legal financial management system for time, billing, accounting, reporting and collections, to increase efficiency in your firm.

Timekeeping
The PerfectLaw Timekeeping System is one of the fastest, most powerful systems on the market today. It provides full screen, interactive data entry, which can be centralized or distributed to secretarial workstations over a network. The client matter database interfaces directly with all PerfectLaw modules, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable.

Billing
The PerfectLaw Billing System records and tracks time, expenses, trust accounts, write-offs, bills and receivables. The client matter database interfaces directly with all PerfectLaw modules, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable. The system supports complex billing procedures for electronic and task based billing as well as a wide variety of billing formats and customer statements. The client matter database interfaces directly with all PerfectLaw modules, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable.

Account Manager
(for firms that do not track time - this application substitutes Time & Billing and Accounts Payable)
PerfectLaw Account Manager is specially designed for the legal plaintiff practice (personal injury, worker’s compensation, product liability, etc.). PerfectLaw Account Manager system It’s a hybrid of PerfectLaw Time & Billing and Accounts Payable, combining the features from those applications into one application. Account Manager gives the plaintiff the tools it needs to track clients, matters, vendors, expenses, and settlement information. Account Manager writes checks, keeps trust accounts, tracks vendors and Form 1099 information, reports on invoice history, and creates settlement statements. It interfaces directly with PerfectLaw’s General Ledger and the Attorney’s Information Manager (AIM®) applications.

Accounts Payable
PerfectLaw® Accounts Payable writes checks, tracks vendors and Form 1099 information, and reports on vendor invoice and Work in Process histories. It provides access to up-to-date balances of your checking accounts, automatic hassle-free posting of expenses and cost checks to matter ledgers for Cost Billing and General Ledger, and efficient management of firm expenses and client cost checks.

Accounts Payable Invoice Imaging
The PerfectLaw® AP Invoice Imaging feature allows users to quickly create an image of your invoices then automatically saves and profiles these into a matter. Then, users can easily reference the imaged invoice to enter the new vendor invoice.  If any of these items needs to be paid by the client, you can even attach a thumbnail copy of the invoice to the client’s bill automatically.

General Ledger
PerfectLaw® General Ledger allows you to define the firm’s accounting structure design, run all financial reports, and enter adjusting and recurring journal entries. Once basic account and company data is entered, General Ledger can quickly produce reports of all your financial information. This program interfaces directly with PerfectLaw’s Accounts Payable and Time & Billing modules.

Management Reports
With PerfectLaw's Management Reporting System, users create and modify custom reports. An easy to understand user interface allows users to easily customize existing reports and add custom layouts to their own personal directory of reports. The system includes a complete set of productivity and management reports, and allows extensive control over the format and content of those, and other reports.

Conflict of Interest
PerfectLaw® Conflict of Interest provides a fast and easy way for attorneys or paralegals to determine if a case should be referred due to a conflict of interest.  When the firm accepts a new client or matter, the related-party data on plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, and others are added to the firm’s Case/Matter database. Any workstation can then automatically run a Conflict of Interest Report. This report defines the names, addresses, telephone numbers, matters, and relationships of all parties that may result in a conflict.

Cost Recovery
Firms can easily import phone, copy, postage and fax expenses with the PerfectLaw® Cost Recovery application.  This program allows users to import the cost files generated by the cost tracking packages currently used at the firm (such as Equitrac).

Collections
The PerfectLaw® Collections Module was designed to pull critical information from both the Front and Back Office.  With the Collections Module, users have all information regarding a client’s accounts receivables in one screen without the need to open additional applications, reports or files for reference.
